Pond Treatments
Treatments is an all round term we use for various different water additives, not just for the nasty things in life like when your fish are ill but also for enhancing water quality. For example a water de-chlorinator takes harmful chlorine out of the water, chlorine kills beneficial filtration bacteria, it also harms fish’s gills.
Good pond filtration usually means healthy fish, unfortunately good conditions can also cause other things to grow such as nuisance algae’s, for some of these you would need a clotting agent, to give good clarity to the water. Then the dreaded blanket weed has also got to be kept under control. PH is important too, it is always worth testing for and treating accordingly.
